The Red Sox Foundation and the Foundation To Be Named Later are teaming up to celebrate music, baseball and giving back when the Chicago Cubs come to town on April 28th. The weekend will kick off with a luncheon featuring Red Sox and Cubs alumni players discussing what it is like to play on championship teams. The baseball panel will be moderated by Peter Gammons and Tom Caron and feature Ryan Dempster, Pedro Martinez, and more.

Proceeds from the event benefit the scholarship programs run by the Red Sox Foundation and the Foundation To Be Named Later.
Foundation To Be Named Later, named after the MLB trade term, player to be named later, is the family foundation of Theo & Paul Epstein. It's mission is to raise funds and awareness for non-profit agencies, working on the front lines, serving youth and families from disadvantaged neighborhoods. FTBNL invests in innovative programs that teach leadership, education and healthy development in Boston & Chicago. The signature program of Foundation To Be Named Later is the Peter Gammons College Scholarship and paired with a mentor and lap top, sends urban young people who have overcome tremendous odds, to the college of their choice.

The official team charity of the Boston Red Sox, the Red Sox Foundation harnesses the power of Red Sox Nation to support select programs serving at risk children and families across New England. These items are to benefit the Red Sox Foundation's charitable initiatives for at risk children including the Red Sox Scholars program, so much of your bid may be tax deductible.
