Gary Darling was a Major League Baseball umpire for close to 30 years, starting in the National League when the crews differed, and then throughout the majors the final 12 years. He retired in midseason in 2014, having been on the injured list throughout the year. During his career he worked a pair of World Series and a pair of All-Star Games, plus five championship series and 10 division series. Today he stays involved in the sport as the president of UMPS CARE Charities, where he takes special pride in putting smiles on faces. You're bidding on a baseball signed by the former ump, a great addition to your arbiter collection. This item is not authenticated by Major League Baseball. UMPS CARE Charities will provide a certificate of authenticity for the winning bidder.
